GreenSquare's plans to move forward with the regeneration of Woodroffe Square in Calne have been welcomed by local residents.
More than 30 households came along to a consultation event at the beginning of March, where they found out more about the proposals and were able to give their feedback.
Phil Bowley, group head of strategic asset management at GreenSquare, said: "It was encouraging to have so many people from the local community come along to the event to discuss our draft proposals for the regeneration of Woodroffe Square. The event gave people the chance to find out more about the ideas we have for this site, and gave us the chance to hear their thoughts, concerns and ideas, which is a very important part of the process for us.
"The feedback we received was generally very supportive and we were pleased to find out that people are welcoming our ambitions to redevelop the existing homes in the area, as well our plans to create additional parking.
“We are now considering all of the feedback and suggestions we received as we work to finalise our proposals."
The proposed plans will involve the demolition of garages and numbers 49 to 60. GreenSquare has brought together a project team of consultants to consider design, layouts, ecology and landscaping and will be working with both the Town and Wiltshire Councils on the design of the development.
