Family fun in the sun at Croxford Gardens

Hundreds of people from across Kidlington enjoyed a family fun day at Croxford Gardens recently, organised completely by GreenSquare residents.

The event, which took place at Kidlington Football Club on Saturday 20 July, was organised by local residents Emma Foster and Tracy Essery who organised all of the activities throughout the day and evening and ensured the smooth running of the event.

Children had fun playing on the inflatable slides and bouncy castle and were treated to a Punch and Judy show. Face painters were on hand to transform children into their favourite superhero or animal and they also took part in inflatable sumo wrestling. The Croxford Gardens women’s team were the proud winners of the tug of war competition.

In addition, there was a hog roast for people to tuck into and a raffle and bake sale for people to enjoy. The entertainment carried on into the evening, with a disco until midnight.

Resident Emma Foster, one of the event organisers, commented: “We are delighted with how it went and are thrilled that so many people came along. We are exhausted but very proud and will definitely be holding the event again next year.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all the residents who leant a helping hand.”
