Housing group GreenSquare and Studley Green Children’s Centre, run by children’s charity 4Children, are holding a family day for local residents in Southwick, near Trowbridge, on Friday 9 August.
The event, which is taking place in Southwick park, will run from 10am until 12noon. During the day, Active Trowbridge will be providing a variety of activities for children including: circus skills classes, parachute games, an inflatable soft play zone for children aged under five, and an assault course for older children.
In addition, Studley Green Children’s Centre will be providing an assortment of arts and crafts activities. Sam Cooper, Studley Green Children’s Centre Co-ordinator for 4Children, said: “We’re really excited to be able to host such a fun filled summer event for local families. We want to give families a day to remember and hopefully encourage those parents who don’t use our services to come along to the centre and find out about all the activities and support they could be taking advantage of all year round.
“We’re also very grateful to GreenSquare for providing the funding for the event and sharing our enthusiasm and passion for supporting local families.”
Diane Warren, Community Involvement Officer at GreenSquare, said: “We are delighted to support this event – with so many exciting activities for children to get involved in, there should be something for everyone to enjoy. Days like this are a great way to bring the community together and we hope that Southwick residents come along and have fun!”
