GreenSquare residents have started to move into their new homes at Stockley Grange in Calne.
The Stockley Grange development, which makes up one phase of a larger development site known as Marden Farm, is located off Stockley Lane in Calne and has been built by Redrow.
GreenSquare has purchased 17 properties from Redrow at the site, under a section 106 agreement, which requires a percentage of new developments to be available for low cost home ownership and affordable rent.
These new properties comprise two one-bedroom apartments and 15 two, three and four-bedroom houses – seven of which are for shared ownership, and 10 for affordable rent.
New resident Loraine moved into one of the new one-bedroom apartments for affordable rent at the development last week.
Loraine said: "I'm really excited to be moving into such a lovely brand new apartment. It's a great development and I think I'm going to be very happy here. This is the first time I've moved into a GreenSquare property and so far the whole process has gone seamlessly.
"Now that I've started to fill the rooms with furniture, and have started to unpack, it's beginning to feel much more like home."
Work is still ongoing at Stockley Grange, and the 17 properties are being handed over to GreenSquare in phases: four in April, 10 in May and a final three in August.
Barry Wood, GreenSquare’s MD of Development, said: “Stockley Grange is an impressive development and it’s been great to see these new homes take shape.
“With such a wide range of different size properties available, for a variety of affordable housing options, these homes cater for a range of lifestyles – from single people and growing families looking to rent, to those looking for a way to get on the housing ladder.”
