GreenSquare owns a number of properties in Wiltshire, including Unity House in Chippenham and Booth House in Swindon, which have been set up as homeless services and are managed by our partners.
Booth House provides accommodation and support for up to 50 homeless single people. Managed by the Salvation Army, it also has a modern ‘recycles’ bicycle centre, which is run by residents who have been trained to take part in the social enterprise.
On Friday 14 August, Booth House is hosting an open day for people to meet the team, staff and residents, and find out more about the service and support that’s provided there.
Matt Knox, GreenSquare’s Partnerships Officer, said: “So much goes on at Booth House and this is the perfect opportunity to find out about the service and how supporting social enterprises, like the bicycle centre, can help to benefit the whole community.
“There will be free safety checks on bikes and the opportunity to get some bike advice as well as the opportunity to hear residents’ experiences. And there will be refreshments too, of course!”
The open day is on Friday 14 August from 12.30pm until 4.30pm at Booth House, 1 Spring Close, Swindon.
If you know of anyone who’d be interested in attending, please pass on the details of the open day, or come along yourself.
