GreenSquare has delivered 14 new homes in Culverhay, Cricklade, within the last month as phase three of their regeneration project in the area nears completion.
The last of the properties in phase three are due to be handed over early June, ready for residents to move in. Once complete, a total of 29 new homes will have been constructed.
Corrina Johnson, development manager at GreenSquare, said: “We have been pleased to see more new and returning residents moving into their new, high-quality homes at Culverhay. With phase three almost finished, pre-demolition works for phase four are already underway.
“We are grateful to local residents, the community and the town council for their support during this latest phase. You can already see how much the area is changing for the better and we’re excited for the next stage, which will see 45 new homes built.
GreenSquare’s wider regeneration project at Culverhay, which began in 2017, includes demolishing 66 older properties in total and replacing them with 110 energy efficient and comfortable homes, available for a mixture of shared ownership, affordable rent and outright sale.
The development will also improve the public areas of the neighbourhood and address road safety and parking concerns.
E G Carter & Co Ltd, are the appointed contractors for the project. Phil Barnes, Associate Director commented: “Completion of phase three signals the half way mark of the £18 million Culverhay regeneration and we are delighted to have reached this point well ahead of schedule. We have already commenced the phase four works and the momentum behind this project is a testament to the partnership we have established with GreenSquare and the Culverhay community.”
