Residents living in Oxfordshire are invited to an event this month (November) where they can meet the Housing Minister.
The event, which is being hosted by Soha Housing, is taking place on Wednesday 8 November from 10am until 1pm at the Kings Centre, Osney Mead in Oxford.
Residents are invited to come along to meet the Housing Minister, Alok Sharma, and ask him any questions they might have. This is a great opportunity to speak directly to the Housing Minister and to highlight issues facing social housing tenants.
Tea and coffee will be served from 9.30am and lunch and networking will take place from 1pm to 2.30pm.
Lew Fryer, GreenSquare's community involvement officer, said: "This is a unique opportunity to meet with the Housing Minister, as part of a sesion where he wants to find out about some of the immediate issues that social housing tenants face.
"We would like to encourage our residents in Oxfordshire to get involved. We will be able to help people with reasonable transport costs as well as caring expenses if necessary. You don't have to come along for the whole session, but are welcome to simply come to part of the event."
Alok Sharma was appointed Minister of State for Housing and Planning on 13 June 2017. Since stepping into his new role, he has been taking the time to meet and chat to tenants up and down the country.
