How we handle your data is changing

Today (25 May) we are saying goodbye to the Data Protection Act 1998… and hello to the new EU General Data Protection Regulation. This is most commonly known as GDPR.

GDPR is the new legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and handling of people’s personal information, and is replacing the Data Protection Act, 1998.

What this means for you

In response to GDPR, we have updated out ‘Privacy Statement for our Customers’, which is available on our website here. (Copies are also available on request.)

We need your information, in order to deliver our services to you. Our Privacy Statement will help you understand what information we collect and process. It tells you:

  • what information we may collect about you;
  • how we store your personal information;
  • what we use your personal information for;
  • who (if anyone) we pass it on to and how they use it; and
  • your privacy rights.

We suggest you take the time to review our new Privacy Statement, and check it regularly, to ensure you are kept up to date.

If you have any questions about our Privacy Statement, would like to exercise any of your statutory rights, or to make a complaint, please write to: Information Compliance Manager, Methuen Park, Chippenham SN14 0GU or email data.protection@greensquaregroup.com.
