GreenSquare recognises that noise nuisance can take place at any time of the day or night and on any day of the week. That is why we have subscribed to The Noise App.
This is a free app that anyone with a smartphone can download and use to record noise that is causing a nuisance at their property.
Anna Kelly, tenancy enforcement manager, said: "Recordings are very useful for us when we are investigating a complaint of noise nuisance as a written description doesn’t always adequately convey the nuisance being caused – for example, in cases that involve someone repeatedly shouting.
“We are asking GreenSquare customers to use The Noise App, where appropriate, alongside nuisance monitoring sheets that our housing officers will provide. The app is easy to use and a secure way for customers to send recordings directly to us, so we can better understand what they are experiencing."
Customers without a smartphone will still be offered a traditional portable recording device.
Once downloaded users are able to create their account and will be asked to select their landlord – GreenSquare customers should select GreenSquare.
