GreenSquare & ‘The Green Deal’

The Government recently launched its Green Deal initiative, which enables some households to have energy-saving improvements installed in their home. A qualified Green Deal assessor visits each home and works out whether the cost of the work could be repaid by lower energy bills over a set period of time. Some of the more expensive measures require an upfront payment by the occupier. These charges remain with the property and are attached to the energy bill for the current or any subsequent occupier to repay in full.

We have already installed many energy saving measures to homes without the need for a charge to be made against the property or customer. We will continue to do this and therefore won’t be installing measures under Geen Deal.

Our energy advisors are well placed to advise you of any measures that can help reduce your energy bills, and arrange and mange any necessary work of this nature. Please contact us if you would like an energy advisor to visit you in your home to see what we can do to help.
