GreenSquare set to increase affordable housing stock

We are delighted to announce that we have recently completed two deals with Crest Nicholson, which will enable us to increase our housing stock and help more families in housing need in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

Crest Nicholson is required to provide a certain percentage of homes on new developments for low cost home ownership and affordable rent. GreenSquare has purchased 31 new properties – 15 in Kingswood in Stroud and 16 in Studley, Wiltshire.

In Kingswood in Stroud, Crest Nicholson is on site building 51 new three-bedroom and four-bedroom homes. GreenSquare will be taking possession of 15 news homes next summer (2018), seven of which will be available for shared ownership and eight for affordable rent.

At Studley near Calne, Crest Nicholson will be starting on site in the new year to build 53 new homes on the former Blounts Court Nursery site off Studley Lane. GreenSquare will take possession of 16 affordable homes once they are completed in early 2019.

Jo Curson, GreenSquare's Head of Development, said: "Through this new deal with Crest Nicholson, we are pleased to be able to offer a variety of affordable housing options, which will mean that more families in both Wiltshire and Gloucestershire will be able to live in a home they can afford."
