GreenSquare has announced the contractor it has selected to carry out the work to build new properties in Cricklade, as part of its wider regeneration plans for the area.
Following a successful tender process, E G Carter & Co Ltd is the chosen contractor, who will start on phase one at the site next month (May). Phase one will include demolishing four properties to build eight new ones, which will be a mix of bungalows and houses.
Residents living in Culverhay are invited to meet representatives from E G Carter & Co Ltd at a meet the builder event at Cricklade Fire Station on Thursday 4 May between 3pm and 7pm. At the event, local residents will have the chance to meet the team who will be working on site and ask them any questions.
Corrina Johnson, GreenSquare’s development project manager, said: “We are looking forward to working with E G Carter & Co Ltd to deliver our plans for regeneration in Culverhay.
“We know that the on-site team will be liaising closely with the local community over the coming months as work progresses and will be keeping them up to date with everything that’s going on.”
Phillip Barnes from E G Carter & Co Ltd said: “We are delighted to have been selected as GreenSquare’s constructor of choice for this exciting regeneration project and are looking forward to getting started in the coming few weeks.”
GreenSquare's regeneration plan for Culverhay in Cricklade, which includes plans to demolish 65 older properties and replace them with 109 new ones, has recently been granted planning approval by Wiltshire Council.
Work will begin at the site in May.
