Posters drawn by children at Oaksey C of E Primary School in Oaksey near Malmesbury are being proudly displayed on the hoardings at GreenSquare's development site in the village.
As part of the Considerate Constructors scheme, staff from GreenSquare joined the Scheme’s mascot, Ivor Goodsite, to give a presentation to pupils at the primary school, focusing on the potential dangers of construction sites and the importance of site safety.
Following the presentation, the pupils were tasked with creating a poster about what they'd learnt at the session. Now some of these posters are displayed on the hoardings.
GreenSquare's in-house development arm, GreenSquare Homes, is currently on site at Bendy Bow in Oaksey, not far from the school, where 12 older properties have been demolished to make way for 24 new, affordable homes, which will be available for rent and shared ownership.
Sue Matthews, Community Officer at GreenSquare, said: "We were happy to be invited to Oaksey C of E Primary School to talk to the children about site safety, which we did so with the help of our special guests Ivor Goodsite.
"We had so many brilliant entries for our poster competition, it was tough to choose just a few to display on our hoardings. However, we are pleased to have some of them up here for passers-by to see, helping to promote site safety in the local community."
