Come along to community fun day this half term

Residents in Gloucester are invited to a community fun day this Wednesday (18 February), where they will have the chance to find out what’s going in their area… and have some fun!

The event, which is taking place at Kingsway Community Centre on Thatcham Avenue from 1pm until 4pm, has been organised by GreenSquare, Gloucester City Council and the team from Hello Gloucester.

Throughout the afternoon, representatives from local agencies and groups – including the police and City Council – will be on hand to provide information and answer people’s questions.

Also at the event, the Gloucester Bike Project will be offering free bike servicing – so bring along your bike for a free tune up! There will be 10 minute arts and craft workshops, suitable for the whole family to get involved with, and children will have the chance to make a pedal-powered smoothie.

Alex Lodge, Community Involvement Officer at GreenSquare, said; “There’s lots of fun things for all the family to enjoy at the event. But it’s also an opportunity for people to find out what’s going on in their area and to share their views on what they’d like to see happen in their neighbourhood. So why not pop down and see us!”
