Bringing Parklands back to life

The latest development by Haboakus – GreenSquare's joint venture with Hab Housing – was revealed when members of the public were invited to a 'find out more' event in December.

Haboakus is planning to renovate the former St Paul’s Rectory on Malmesbury Road in Chippenham and to replace the 1960s extensions with high quality new homes. We also plan to refurbish four one-bedroom bungalows in the rectory grounds. Currently in a state of dereliction, the site was previously a Westlea Housing sheltered housing scheme and is in a fantastic location by John Coles Park. We are working with David Mikhail Architects to deliver a project that is an asset to the town and realises the potential of this magnificent site.

Our current plan is to build a total of 12 houses – including the refurbished homes – ranging from one-bedroom bungalows to five-bedroom family homes. Nine of the houses will be for outright sale whilst three will be for shared ownership.

The aim is to provide a mixed development to suit a variety of people at different stages in life. The larger houses are designed with families in mind and will be for sale on the open market. The smaller, one-bedroom homes will be ideally suited to older single residents. The same high standards of design and construction will be applied across the entire scheme.
