Culverhay, Cricklade, SN6 6ET

It’s official! We are delighted to say that on Thursday 20 April, Wiltshire Council granted us planning permission to progress with our plans for the regeneration of Culverhay. This is great news and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone for your patience.

Here's a video of some of the demolition

Work began on Monday 22 May. Find out more here.

Our regeneration plan for Culverhay includes plans to demolish 65 older properties and replace them with 109 new ones.

The new, energy efficient, and comfortable homes will be a mixture of homes for shared ownership, affordable rent, and outright sale.

The developments will also:

  • improve the public areas of the neighbourhood;
  • address road safety and parking concerns;
  • ensure the strong sense of community and neighbourliness is carried over into any new areas; and
  • ensure that residents are kept to date every step of the way – and, for those who need to move, making that as easy as possible.

New houses

Phil Bowley, Head of Regeneration at GreenSquare, said: “As the housing crisis in Britain persists, we hope to be able to build much-needed high-quality affordable homes for people in housing need in the area, including homes for shared ownership and sale to help local people get onto the housing ladder.

“We will continue to work closely with residents and the town council on this project to breathe new life into the neighbourhood to benefit both the residents of Culverhay and the wider Cricklade community.”
