Good Neighbour Awards

Our Good Neighbour Awards recognise residents who go out of their way to help others living in our neighbourhoods and communities, as well as those who take pride in where they live.

This year our categories are:

  • Good neighbour
  • Community hero
  • Young person of the year
  • Glorious garden*

*Your glorious garden could also be containers, planters, or a shared community space – you can even nominate yourself for this category!

If you have a good neighbour or you know someone who goes above and beyond in your community, then why not nominate them for an award?

Not sure if the person you want to nominate fits into one of these categories? Don’t worry, send in your nomination and we can decide where it fits best.

 Please note

Anyone can make a nomination, but the nominee must live in a GreenSquareAccord home.

Good Neighbour Award 2020 winners

Our winner, Paul, is a kind and supportive neighbour, who is always there for his neighbours. He has helped Toni on numerous occasions.

Toni, who nominated Paul, said: “There are not many neighbours now that you can literally knock on their door and they will stop whatever they are doing to help you”.

Toni feels much safer knowing Paul is around.

Well done, Paul!

Runner up

Our runner up, Steph, helped her neighbours settle in mid-pandemic.

Steph introduced her neighbours to the local area, gave them information and introduced them to other neighbours. She baked some lovely brownies and dropped them off so they had something to eat while decorating.

Great job, Steph!
