Staff at GreenSquare donned red and enjoyed a 'bring and share' lunch to raise money for Comic Relief yesterday (Thursday 23 March).
People were encourged to come to work dressed in red and bring in a donation for a sharing lunch. GreenSquare's chief executive and directors really got into the spirit of the event and stepped out in matching tutus, wigs and red noses!
Howard Toplis, GreenSquare's chief executive, said: "Red Nose Day is a fantastic event, and one which we are happy to support to try and raise as much money as possible for Comic Relief. As well as raising money for a worthy cause, it really helps to bring people together throughout the office, and it's a bit of fun too!”
Staff across all four of GreenSquare's offices in Chippenham, Swindon, Oxford and Gloucester got involved with fundraising for Comic Relief and so far the company has raised £300 for the charity, with donations still coming in.
Howard added: "Staff have held bake sales and quizzes to help boost our fundraising total. It's been good to see everyone getting involved."
Comic Relief is a major UK charity, with a vision of a just world, free from poverty. The money raised on Red Nose Day helps make a difference to the lives of people both in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest communities.
