GreenSquare’s Rose Hill Community worker, Fran Gardner, runs the Big Lottery-funded Rose Hill project.
In January 2017, GreenSquare secured £458,100 from the Big Lottery Fund to continue, and develop, its Rose Hill Regeneration project, and support activities for residents in Rose Hill, Oxford.
As part of the new Lottery funded project, the Youth Club staff team took over 50 children and 30 parents to a wonderful country fayre on Saturday 1 July 2017. Aimee Winkfield came along and produced this lovely video:
Parents and play workers report improved behaviour of children with complex needs and Children with complex needs participate in regular positive activities with their peers.
We took several children on the trip who are suffering trauma and who find school and home life very challenging. The behaviour of the Rose Hill children at the fayre was exemplary – they were polite, kind and very chatty to the Glympton estate staff and stall holders.
