GreenSquare’s Commitment...

Transparency has become much more prominent as a matter of public concern over recent years, and this raised level of public and political interest increases the importance not so much of transparency in itself (which has always been important to GreenSquare), but of demonstrating how our commitment to transparency is delivered in practice.

NHF View

The Federation welcomes the Government’s commitment to transparency and agrees that it’s important for housing associations to be open and transparent. This allows them to be accountable to their residents besides reflecting their character as organisations operating for community benefit. However, the approach that best meets the requirements of the association and its tenants and stakeholders will vary from one organisation to the next, reflecting the diversity of the operations and the client groups that they serve.

The NHF believes that each association should therefore remain free to evolve its own transparency policy in conjunction with its stakeholders.

Accessing your personal information

Under the Data Protection Act (1998), you have the right to know what data is held about you by GreenSquare Group and to access your personal data. In order to exercise this right you must submit a “Subject Access Request” (SAR).

  • All requests must be made in writing. The easiest way to ensure you have provided all the necessary documentation and information to process your request is to complete our standard Subject Access Request Form - click here to download a copy.
  • If you are looking for specific information and/or you know where in GreenSquare the information you are interested in is likely to be held eg a specific department, then please state this clearly on the form.
  • We may also request a copy of an official form of identification, for example passport or driver’s licence. We will notify you if we require identification documentation.
  • We have the right to charge a £10 fee. A cheque or postal order, made payable to ‘GreenSquare Group’, must be sent along with the other documentation or the request will not be valid.
  • All documentation must be sent to the Information Compliance Manager, GreenSquare Group, Methuen Park, Chippenham SN14 0GU.
